Most moms have faced the scenario of wanting to plan a playdate with a new acquaintance.  In those situations, do you have to scurry for a scrap of paper and a pen to write down all relevant personal info (email address, name, phone number, address)?  I know that personally, I am so busy packing my diaper bag with essentials, I almost never have paper and a pen.  In those instances, it would be so much easier to have mommy calling cards available. 

We received a set of satin and glossy mommy calling cards from Sophie & Spice.  Illustrator and designer Jill Pearson developed the company Sophie & Spice after having her first baby Sophie.  Because of her background and education as an illustrator, all of the products available at Sophie & Spice have a fun, hip and fashionable edge to them.  I just love the pattern that I chose - the Green Dots pattern, although I had a difficult time choosing between all of the really unique styles (12 styles are available)! 

After providing all of the information to Jill, I quickly received an email proof.  The proof is the best way to ensure that the calling cards will be produced exactly as you want them!  The cards, which are professionally printed, are of high quality.  The printing is bright and colorful, and the card stock is thick.  These are of the same quality as business cards produced by large companies, but of course, much more stylish!

The satin finish is not exactly matte, because it has a slight sheen to it, while the glossy cards are just that.  I think I prefer the satin finish, although they are both very nice.  While for an extra fee, you can have printing on the back, I prefer leaving the back blank, so I can just add a quick note as needed.  I now carry a few of my mom calling cards in my wallet, so I always have one nearby.  Jill is now offering sets of 20 cards, great if you just want to check them out!
